Los Angeles, CA (February 1, 2021)

Matt and Christina Hellflower of Los Angeles punk rock band, The Hellflowers, are excited to announce the start of their brand-new record label, “Generation X-ray Records,” in Los Angeles, CA.

The Hellflowers hit the ground running after self-releasing two EPs, “Come On, Let’s Dance” in 2016, followed by, “Vacation” in 2017. In 2019, they released their first full-length album titled, “Por Vida!,” on Die Laughing Records. After weighing options from other indie entities, the two decided it was the right time to start a label of their own.

Generation X-Ray is the previously established production company responsible for dynamic music videos for bands such as, “The Darts”, “Channel Three”, Michael Des Barres, and Scott Sorry. It also created the animation for the Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses) documentary, “It’s So Easy and Other Lies”.

Generation X-Ray Records first release will be a split 7” with Scott Sorry (The Wildhearts, Sorry and The Sinatras) whose first solo album, “When We Were Kings,” debuted on the Official UK rock charts at number two. Sorry's album was funded through Pledgemusic with his debut album achieving 437% of its initial goal.

The Hellflowers will be releasing a live EP in 2021 and their second full-length album as well as a covers record in 2022.

“Our goal is simple” says Gen X-Ray's COO Matt Hellflower “We want to expose our fans to bands we love while putting out the best product possible.”
